Evaluate offers of admission as well as develop a strategy for waitlist and deferral decisions
Create a balanced list of ‘target’, ‘safety’ and ‘reach’ schools based on student's goals, objectives and academic needs
Communicate with college representatives on behalf of student
Maintain oversight of the process and assure that student stays on task to complete all components of the college application
Develop and refine resume that provides an accurate account of student’s activities, honors and awards
Brainstorm topics for personal statement and essays and edit all written assignments and applications
Logistics
Provide guidance about the different types of aid and how to apply
Define testing timelines, test prep options and strategies for taking the SAT, ACT, Subject Tests and AP exams
Facilitate teacher relationships, and identify teachers and other recommenders for letters of recommendation
Identify and plan extracurricular and meaningful summer activities which tie to career and college objectives
Facilitate itinerary for college visits, including appropriate communications and interview prep
Ensure enrollment deposits, housing applications, orientation registrations are complete and submitted
